Marielyst's charming town square is surrounded by cafes and exciting shops specialising in applied art, clothing, jewellery and more. The surrounding region also offers a wealth of things to do, including an 18-hole golf course, a riding centre, a 'put and take' fishing lake, a surf centre, a go cart track and a bowling complex. Just a short drive away is Knuthenborg, an exciting safari park where you can observe exotic wild animals at close quarters from the comfort of your vehicle. Alternatively, Aalholm Automobile Museum is home to around 200 cars dating from 1886 to the present day.
