Stylish, renovated holiday house from the year 1780 with a big garden in the Dordogne The detached holiday house is on a 10-hectare site in very quiet, rural surroundings, 12km from Bergerac. It stands alone without any immediate neighbours, at the end of a cul-de-sac and away from the road.

The house "gîte Lamarmette" of around 100m² ground floor with a modern and tasteful country house style . It dates back to the year 1780 and was carefully renovated in 2022, preserving the stone walls and wooden beams on the ceilings and integrating them cleverly into the new design. The ground floor has a dining space with an open kitchen, a living room with a sofa and satellite and internet connected TV, a large bedroom with a king size bed (180cm x190cm) with bathroom (shower and wc) . The kitchen is fully-equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. The bedrooms, and the living room have electric radiators.Wireless Internet access included. The upper floor has the remaining two bedrooms, one with 2 simple beds (90 x 190cm), the other with a single bed (90 x 190cm) and a bathroom with WC. South facing enclosed garden with outdoor furniture (table, chairs, parasol).Unobstructed view of the countryside.The glazed veranda can be used for enjoying meals. It has garden furniture and an additional sofa for relaxing, with a view of the lovely garden. There is also a covered, private pool measuring 5 x 11 metres. The cover can be opened in summer.

The house is on a 10-hectare site with meadows and forested areas. In front of the house there is a smaller, enclosed area of garden, where small children or pet can play. There is a lean-to with a table tennis table and a brick-built grill. You can park your car on site.

A baby and toddler package with a cot and highchair can be provided on request. The house is at the heart of the Dordogne, just 12km from the town of Bergerac and not far from many tourist attractions in the region. There are various everyday shops in Lalinde about 5km away. The nearest restaurant is about 1km away. There are riding stables and a golf course about 5km away, for golf and horse enthusiasts. The Dordogne River is about 1km away. It is a perfect place to relax in the beautiful Dordogne region.

    “Nous voulions découvrir le Périgord et nous avons choisi cette location de vacances pour sa situation géographique proche de la ville de Bergerac et de son aéroport.
    Nous avons beaucoup aimé cette maison authentique, spacieuse, très confortable, meublée avec beaucoup de gout et entourée de jardins clos.
    La vue sur les prairies, l'absence de bruit et de voisinage donnent l'impression d'être seuls au monde.
    Nous avons passé un séjour fabuleux partagé entre notre hébergement et la découverte d’une partie du Périgord.
    Enchantés par notre séjour au domaine de La Marmette qui nous a permis de faire le plein d'énergie nous pensons y retourner l’été prochain pour profiter de la belle piscine.”

    “The house is at the end of a lane next door to a an old farm without activity.
    The house is big, all the rooms a good size, very clean & well cared for, decorated with an eclectic mix of interesting items, but in no way cluttered. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything worked.
    We enjoyed the long warm evenings sitting out in the open veranda. The big charcoal kettle barbecue was more fun than our gas bbq at home.
    We also had plenty of information about the house content & layout before we arrived, which was extremely useful.
    We had lunch out in Lanquais Restaurant -excellent duck salad!
    We would recommend La Marmette en Périgord to anyone looking for a quiet rural location with no nuisances - very nice!”

    “La maison est vraiment très agréable et confortable, elle vient d'être rénovée cette année : il fait bon à y vivre tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur. Un beau cadre de vie avec le calme reposant des grands espaces.
    Nous avons pu découvrir les environs proches grâce aux multitudes sentiers de randonnées du secteur.
    Une mention particulière pour la chaleureuse auberge du village de Lanquais qui nous a accueillis à plusieurs reprises . En un mot : du bonheur pendant une semaine!”
