"Bergnest Bungalow"
Lovingly renovated in spring 2016, our 40m² cosy bungalow is situated in a quiet location right on the edge of the forest and overlooks the spa town of Bad Gottleuba. It has a separate entrance at ground level, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen with oven and microwave, fridge-freezer and plenty of storage space. Meals can be enjoyed in a cosy atmosphere at the modern dining area. If you want to watch your favourite shows in peace, you can retreat to the comfortable sofa in the separate living room. The bedroom can be reached via a spiral wooden staircase in the converted loft, where there is enough space for additional human and animal overnight guests. Children can sleep in their own youth bed in their parents' bedroom, and we are happy to provide you with a travel cot with changing mat, a baby monitor and a high chair for the little ones.
The bungalow is the perfect starting point for hikes through the Osterzgebirge mountains or excursions to nearby Saxon Switzerland. Especially families with children and pets (dogs, cats) will discover a place to relax, sunbathe or barbecue together on the terrace. Motorcyclists will also find a hostel here on their tours through Saxon Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
For our cycling/touring guests, we offer storage facilities for bikes, which can be parked safely, dry and protected after interesting and varied tours. For winter sports enthusiasts, we recommend a visit to nearby Altenberg, where guest rides on a bobsleigh are also available.
Climbers are also well catered for, the Bahratal bouldering area is only 12 minutes away and offers fantastic climbing opportunities. We are happy to offer you the Bergnest Bungalow for groups of up to 6 participants at favourable group rates.
The town centre of the moor spa Bad Gottleuba and the nearest bus stop are just a ten-minute walk away. There is also a riding centre, the Bad Gottleuba dam, the "Billy" leisure pool and the "Marie Louise Stollen" visitor mine nearby
"Marie Louise Stollen" in the climatic health resort of Berggießhübel. The Median-Kurklinik Bad Gottleuba can be reached on foot in 10 minutes, making the bungalow an ideal place to stay for patients' relatives.
Access to the A17 motorway is also just a five-minute drive away, allowing you to travel to the beautiful city of Dresden on the Elbe or explore the cultural capital of Prague in our neighbouring country, the Czech Republic.
