Holiday home for max. 6 persons

Holiday House in Vale with Terrace and Barbecue
The completely refurbished living quarters of an abandoned farm. On the solid foundations of wine cellar and mezzanine floor we've set a new attic with access to a cozy roof terrace. This cottage is a good choice for those who are curious about how traditional architecture can be extended to modernity.
The double-door walk-in kitchen (13 sqm) is located on the mezzanine floor. It is fully equipped for self-catering with a fridge, gas stove, coffee maker and espresso machine, toaster, kettle, spices and more. The first room (17 sqm) leads off the kitchen. Three windows open the view out to the courtyard or an alley, where goats and sheep are passing by in the evening. An outside staircase leads to the two light-filled rooms in the attic. The first one (13 sqm) is a connecting room and the second room (17 sqm) leads out onto the roof terrace. The view goes into the courtyard, into wooded mountains or up to the roofs of the village. The rooms are equipped with a double bed, mirror cabinet, corner bench or armchairs, Wi-Fi Internet access and two TVs (international channels). On arrival you will find the beds freshly made. The bathroom (8 sqm) used to be the the summer kitchen of the farm. It is located underneath the roof terrace and is equipped with shower, bathtub and washer. Hand and bath towels, soap and shower gel are available.
The furnishing is high quality and relatively new (2011), including sanitary facilities, kitchen utensils, mattresses and bedding. All furniture, newly installed windows, doors and stairs were consistently made to measure. Each floor and the bathroom are equipped with an electrical infrared panel. The solar-assisted central heating is backed up threefold. Either you fire up the water-bearing tiled stove in the kitchen which supplies all the radiators in the house, or an automatic control takes over the job and starts a gas heater and / or the infrared panels, at no additional costs for you.
The enclosed courtyard is a leafy feast. Here you can relax on another covered patio, uncork a bottle of wine or unpack the card game. Or you leave the courtyard behind, follow the course of the creek and you already find yourself on the way up to the mountain meadows surrounded by a healthy mixed forest.
• For up to 6 persons • 3 rooms, 1 eat-in kitchen, 1 bathroom • Roof terrace with seating • Covered patio in the courtyard • Minimum stay: 3 to 5 days (seasonal) • 10% discount after the 15th day of stay We will answer your inquiry within 24 hours. _________________________________________________________________ ••• We offer more than just accommodation ••• • The transfer from Sibiu airport or train station is free and, if desired, we provide a cheap rental car. • On request, our cook will provide you with breakfast or swing the wooden spoon. She conjures traditional menus fresh to the table to pre-arranged times. Also farm products from the village are available, such as: fresh milk straight from the udder, goat or sheep's cheese, forest honey and homemade jam, canned vegetables, Zakusca, wine and schnapps. • On request: Laptop, phone, shopping prior to your arrival, osteopathic treatment, riding horse, cot, rides in a donkey cart for children. • Tip: trip to our shepherds hut (Cozo Fantu) in the high meadows. Without any comfort but with lots of fresh mountain air for stressed lungs. A source emerges a stone's throw away, the cherries hanging in the trees, and cheese and milk you can get from the shepherd next door. See advices to other destinations below in this description. We aren't trained tourism experts. We are living in Vale and have joined together in a small and family-type construction company. After eight years of work we put trowels and saws aside for a while, breathe a sigh and dedicate ourselves to our guests. Today, at least two families and a number of villagers benefit from the fruits of this work. We foster a climate of openness and equality-based relationships. Be sure to find peace and relaxation here. Our homes are located on the village outskirts. Though in autumn the silence may be disturbed by the occasional rattle of a chainsaw, we daresay that your perception of peace and tranquility will change soon. You might find that it includes the songs of the birds in the morning, the roosters crowing, the donkey’s brays and all the other distinctive sounds. By leaving behind some advantages and disadvantages of civilization, you can hang ten and experience new thoughts popping up in your mind out of nowhere. Your temporary home will provide you a cozy ambience in fresh mountain air, you’ll be sleeping like a bear in his den. .
